BPMA Golf Day 2021, a close shave
Wow, the scores couldn’t have been closer with four teams tying for 2nd place and having to be separated by the dreaded countback.
The day started well with Steve Schofield giving the team talk and outlining the day’s event over Tea, Coffee and bacon rolls.
The event which BPMA has been running for 20 Year’s is a Texas Scramble, with teams of four taking the best shot to advance the ball, ensuring that at least 3 Drives are used from each team player. Gary Wilde of BPMA commented that “ This really is a team event, and the beauty of this format is that 3 players can have a shocker on a hole and it can be rescued by one player having a great shot”
EMIR Software, probably the best-dressed team of the day
St. Pierre was a venue we had visited a few times over the years and one we had been asked to play again. The course was in beautiful condition and provided a lovely background for some great golf
Following the golf, players enjoyed an excellent dinner in the evening and a short film of shots from the day, some good and some not so good, provided by Ashman Media, who will be providing a full professional video of the event available to view on the website shortly.
